I would like to see the pin made of hardened steel. May get a machinist to fab one up out of a harder Rockwell rating.
Painted it Orange and it contrasts very well to the black trailer frame.
This is a visual que for those passing by the county road, that the coupling has 'something' on it.
The Master lock appears to be of a higher quality the the same design but sold for storage unit use. It may be made by Master but have no way of knowing. The lock operates very smoothly and the stainless body is perfect for outdoor application.

Simple, yet effective. Couldn't ask for anything better.
One year in with many camping trips, we are very happy with the coupler lock. This lock fits the bulldog style coupler well, and the master lock has worked well through rain and shine.

This is a great coupler lock. It is hefty and easy to use. It has been working well for us.
We have several trailers we use to haul equipment to job sites and have to leave them at site over night so these locks are very sturdy which gives us security from theft and was able to get all locks keyed alike so one key works on all trailers which is convenient.

Love the lock. I lost my first one and had to purchase a second one - been more careful with it. It is a great lock. Ive had several people comment on it and want one like it so Ive referred them to you guys.Thanks for the follow-up.
The product is well designed and I'm sure would work on many/most couplers. However I have an Equal-i-zer 4-point weight distribution hitch with sway control, and the EZ Lock simply won't fit. The Equalizer is too large and the EZ Lock wasn't designed to give enough clearance to get on there. So I wasted my money.
Buy this if you have another configuration, but be forewarned if you have what I have and avoid this product.

I done some research about this and similar products and found this product to be the best bank for the buck. made to fit my Bulldog hitch. It is used by folks that sell trailers, I thought that was good enough for me...
ordered one with the master lock from e_trailer received in in just a few days as stated as for pricing ...you won't be it by much if any!

lock bracket seems real secure but is a little more trouble than old ,old style ...throw on a lock and your done.
I highly recommend This lock, along with the offered MasterLock padlock to anyone wanting to secure a trailer with a Bulldog hitch. I am very pleased with the quality & workmanship of this product to help secure my Horse Trailer hitch.

After 1 year, Still very Happy with this lock. It is on my trailer all the time, removed only to hook the trailer to the truck. Excellent, quality product!

The trailer coupler lock worked exactly as expected. I couldn't ask for more.

After a year there is no change. It works just as I expected. It has been off and on my trailer multiple times, stored in the elements, and it shows no signs of wear.
I am very pleased with the tongue lock. I use it on my boat trailer which I often leave in a Marina for several days at a time while the boat is in a slip. I tend to think of it like all deterrents, another layer of security to overcome which will encourage movement towards an unlocked trailer hitch. It works well, seems sturdy and accomplishes the purpose.
It is a very good lock for a standard ball trailer. Lock has a reasonable quality Master short shackle key lock with 2 keys.
Very easy to use
I recommend you routinely (every 3-6 months) lubricate the lock with graphite or WD-40 to prevent the lock and shackle from binding.
This is a great lock for a trailer hitch. I use it with a bulldog style hitch. Definitely adds a layer of theft protection that may serve as a deterrent for theifs. I would definitely recommend this lock to anyone.
The purchase of this product was a terrible idea. Its made of cheap aluminum, that flexes and bends.
The key for the lock snapped off in the lock, full disclosure, I dont know why, could have been my fault, but it broke pretty easily.....
This lock is a mild deterrent at best, I wouldn't trust it on a trailer worth anything more than the lock is worth.
fits Bulldog hitch well. price is a bit high, but great product.
Seems like a very good lock for the bulldog coupler. I used it on my 2 5/16" coupler. Seems like it secures it very well. Sure if someone wanted to steal the trailer they could cut off the lock, but it would definitely take them some time. This will definitely slow down the process, and deter many.
nice product, price a little high for a piece of unpainted steel, also needs to be a left and right side for trailers, in Texas needs opening on left to light the licence plate.
The people in sales were pleasant to talk with, product arrive as promised, nice experience, will by from them again, recommended.
I am extremely pleased with this coupler lock. It is well made, robust and rugged. It also fits well and is easy to install.
This thing works like a charm. Keeps my trailer secured when I’m disconnected and away. Would recommend to anyone looking for a coupler lock.
It was too lose and fell off.
I had to put a sleeve around the pin to take up the slack. I have 3 different trailers and it was the same thing.
After the alterations it works good.

This item works with Bulldog Collar-Lok couplers only. I believe this universal coupler lock will work better for you and your 3 different trailers: Item # TMX47FR.

still a great solid product. Spray some silicon in the lock about every few months and all works well.
